Kabul residents face difficulty withdrawing money from the bank , said it would use the banks are no longer

KABUL: Some residents of Kabul on Thursday said that they no longer want to keep their money in banks in the country as they face difficulties in withdrawing their money, local media reported.
Since the fall of the former government, Afghanistan has faced challenges in withdrawing their money from the bank and said they no longer want to save money, adding that they will take all of their funds previously deposited, Tolo News reported.
“We used to keep money in the bank, but this time they did not pay us on time, banks have lost confidence among the people, we no longer want to keep our money in the bank,” said Noorullah, a resident of Kabul.
Meanwhile, some economists said that if the banking system continues at this rate, the bank will not be able to provide services, and this will have a negative impact on the country’s economy, Tolo News reported.
“If every person transferring money to other countries, what is left is the Bank’s economic structure -? When we deposit our money in the bank then used for investment,” said Wahab Qati, an economic analyst.
According to Tolo News, Afghanistan’s central bank officials have recently said in a statement that the private banks and the public must improve customer cash withdrawal limit to $ 400 per week.
