Kalaraj funds can now be used for relief floods and hunger

Jaipur: The scope of the Governor’s aid fund now will also be used to help people affected by hunger, flooding, accidents, natural disasters and for medicine and equipment during the epidemic, among others.
Governor Kalaraj Mishra said this while overcoming an online meeting of members of the Governor’s Assistance Advisory Committee.
There are suggestions for entering the contribution given to assistance funds in CSR corporate activities.
Expressing gratitude to all Bhamashah who gave financial support to the funds, Mishra said there had been an increase in fundraising in the past two years.
By 2020-21, RS 54 Lakh was collected in this fund, which increased to Rs 1,85,000 in 2021-22 in September.
Mishra said that based on the advice of committee members, a letter was written to the central government to bring contributions to funds under the 100 percent tax exception category, not 50 percent tax exemption now.
He said that work was also done to simplify the contributing process by digitizing assistance funds.
For this, the software is being developed to deposit the number of online donations in the bank fund account.
When this happens, online donation receipts will be automatically generated by the system in real time for donors.
The governor asked all members to work with their contacts in raising maximum funds through Rajasthanis migrants settling in countries and abroad.
