Kalyan: cellphone, electric cable recovered from the aadharwadi prison toilet

Thane: During a surprise examination in prison in Kalyan City of Maharashtra’s Thane District, the police found cellphones, electric wires, steel pins and other items from the toilet inside the prison spot.
The incident occurred in the aadharwadi kalyan prison on Friday, when the prison staff saw a pickled jar between two water drums on the toilet in one of the barracks.
On opening the jars, they found in it cellphones, electric wires, 25 to 30 steel pins, electrical circuit boards and two sealant packages, said an official from Khadak in the Police Station.
When asking, the banquer of Barak pretended not to know about the items confiscated, he said.
The police tried to find out how these items reached the prison barracks, he said, adding that a case was registered against unknown people in the relevant part of the Indian criminal code and the Prison Act.
