Shikant Shinde, Yug Mahajan is 18 months old to overcome rare physical conditions, where he was born with his heart on the right side instead of the left.
Toddler’s father, who came from the Jalgaon District, was unable to provide treatments not available at Jalgaon in the first place.
That’s when Shinde came to his help and made Yug accepted at Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for children in Mumbai, where he underwent a successful operation.
Yug Pravin Mahajan’s troops told TII, “When I learned about the health condition of my son, I rushed to various hospitals in the Jalgaon District for care.” “But the condition is very rare so there is no expert doctor at Jalgaon who can treat my child, and they otherwise suggest that I seek care for Yug in Mumbai,” he added.
A small photographer, Pravin wasn’t sure if he was able to get treatment in Mumbai, which cost around Rs 4 Lakh to Rs 5 Lakh.
However, his worries ended when he contacted Shinde through the Bodyguard Parshuram Ghule.
After knowing about the health condition of Yug, Shinde immediately consulted with Dr.
Niranjan Gaikwad, Head of the Wadia Hospital, who told him that Yug would need a default diaphragm hernia operation.
Surgery is expected to cost around RS 3.5 Lakh to RS 4 Lakh.
But consider Pravin’s financial condition, Shinde received operations made free of charge.
After successful operation and dismissal, Yug and his parents visited Shinde’s residence on Wednesday to express their gratitude.
Pravin told Tii, “Even though Shinde is not from our constituency, he supports my child and we will never forget his help.
Today, we are with our child because of him.”
