Thane: The police have arrested three people in connection with the death of a 47-year-old man in Kalyan in the Maharashtra district, an official said on Thursday.
The police have arrested Rihan Bashir Shaikh, Sagar Chandramouli Ponnalla and Sumit Chintaman Sonange, a driver of the Autorickshaw, for allegedly attacking Krishnamohan Ramsagar Tiwari, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zona III Kalyan) Vivek Pansare.
Police about the task of patrolling have found Tiwari lying on Khambal road in a severe injured state on September 11, after he was taken to the hospital, where he died during treatment two days later, official said.
Registered murder cases, and during the probe, it was found that the victim had recently lost his job in Qatar during a pandemic and was looking for work, he said.
Tiwari received a call and left his home on September 11 and never returned, the official said.
The defendant, who runs the placement agent, called him to Kalyan, where they suspected of robbing and attacking him, he said.
