Chennai: His fur from an alliance formed ahead of the April 6 assembly poll, MNM head Kamal Haasan announced on Thursday that the party would oppose local rural polls scheduled in nine newly limited districts independently.
He will campaign for party candidates in the two phase polls that will be held on October 6 and 9.
MNM is in an alliance with Indhiya Jananayada Kaschi and All India Samathuva Makkal Kaschi for polls, but a combination failed to make a sign.
The explosion of Kamal at the Second Stairs MNM leader, blamed them for a sad show, also produced some including VicePresident R Mahendran away.
The MNM head was looking at the local agency poll as an opportunity to rebuild the party and instill trust between the ranks and files.
“Makkal Needhi Maiam will do a contest alone in the local agency poll.
I will campaign in the nine districts.
Will meet in the field.
Victory is ours,” Kamal tweeted on Thursday.
“We hope he started a campaign after September 25.
He will campaign widely to improve our voice division.
It is very important for us to achieve our long-term goals,” said Murali Appas Party spokesman.
The Secretary of State from various MNM wings was assigned to oversee readiness.
“They have been told to discuss with the District Secretary and members of the Executive Committee to complete candidates.
They are expected to submit a list of candidates in the next two days for the approval of the party’s president,” Appas said.
The party wants to make his presence feel in a rustic bag and grow into a Pan-TN party, another official said anonymity.
“We are seen as a urban party.
Our leader is special to make a breakthrough into a village to change the perception.”
