Kamal Haasan asks govt to Stunt sexual harassment allegations against College

CHENNAI: Actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan has stated that the Tamil Nadu government have to conduct a thorough investigation into the sexual harassment allegations levelled from a Chennai faculty.

Even the Makkal Needhi Maiam president stated that parents should supervise children when they’re taking online courses and have to hear them if they raise problems.

In a statement issued on Wednesday Haasan stated that the criticism the college didn’t cover the problem even when it had been flagged before, reduces people’s beliefs in the system.

Haasan stated there is an effort to turn this to a caste problem and added that it was to get short term political benefits. “If we do not concentrate on the crime and the perpetrator of this offense there’s a chance it could eventually become advantageous to people who perpetrate the offense. Regardless of that caste he belongs , the perpetrator has to be penalized and as an educated society we have to make sure that justice is done.”

It can be noticed that a teacher of some well-known CBSE college of Chennai was arrested Tuesday after a criticism following allegations of sexual harassment of woman students surfaced on social networking.

A police announcement said that the trade – ccountancy instructor had sexually harassed women by sending text messages.

The police announcement also stated that a woman student of the identical college was plagued a couple of decades back from exactly the identical parents and teacher had complained to school authorities from the instructor for sending obscene messages.

The instructor has arrested and remanded to judicial custody and can be headquartered at the Puzhal central prison below the Protection of Children From Sexual offences (POCSO) act.
