New Delhi: The leader of the former Indian Communist Party (CPI) Kanhaiya Kumar on Tuesday joined Congress in front of Rahul Gandhi at the party headquarters in the national capital.
Gujarat Mla Jignesh Mevani also received support from the Congress ideology but did not join the party formally.
The Optimistic Congress said Kanhaiya Kumar was a symbol of struggling for freedom of expression in this country.
“He joined the Congress to destroy our workers,” said the Senior Leader and Secretary General of the KC Party Venugopal.
“I joined Congress because I really felt that if the country had to be saved, the congress had to survive,” Kanhaiya said.
“Congress parties like a large ship.
If it survives, all other small parties will also survive,” Kanhaiya said.
With Kanhaiya Kumar, Congress will expect to improve its performance at Bihar, where it has become a marginal player for some time now.

Kumar is a National Executive member of the CPI, a decision-making agency over the party.
He shot Tokanhaiya, who prominent as President of the JNU Student Union, had joined the CPI ahead of the Election of Lok Sabha 2019.
He did not succeed in opposing Lok Sabha’s poll against Giriraj Singh BJP from Budusarai in Bihar.

Jignesh Mevani said the country passed through an unprecedented crisis under the current BJP government.
“The atmosphere of hatred is spread throughout the country,” Mevani said.
“Today, I am part of the ideological congress, because it is an ideology that can save the country,” he said.
“I will fight Gujarat’s poll that will come from the symbol of Congress,” Mahani added.
Venugopal praised Jignesh Mevani for campaigning spirit against BJP and his policy in Gujarat.
Mevani tends to play a key role for Congress in Gujarat in the selection of assembly scheduled next year.
Mevani is the organizer of Rashtriya Dalit Adhikar MANSH (RDAM).
In the 2017 Gujarat Assembly election, Congress did not give his candidate field against Mevani in the Vadgam constituency.
The association with the Congress came at that time was seducing the caste community scheduled after spending exciting at the first Punjab Head Minister Dalit, Chararjit Singh Channi.
The arrival of these two young leaders on the Congress platform came in the midst of a series of resignation from the party in recent months.
