Bengaluru: A small Kannada film actor and fitness enthusiasts are between two young men from Rajajinagar who were arrested by Bengaluru Customs for smuggling hydroponic weeds through a Foreign Post Office (FPO), Chamarajpet, on Friday.
The 29-year-old man’s actor and 27-year-old unemployed man had booked through a dark web with dealers in England.
The source said the beginner actor was the brain behind the business and both operated from their residence since 2018.
It was the first time they tried to do drugs on the dark web.
Customs officials refused to divulge the details of the duo, stating it would hamper their efforts to capture their two legs.
The package reached the FPO in Chamarajpet on Wednesday, and detectives were deployed at the post office to repair it.
They cut parcels found by 30 grams of hydroponic marijuana hidden in the middle of another item.
The drug is estimated to be worth more than Rs 60,000, has been sent by air courier from the location in the UK.
Officials traced two young men who were childhood friends and neighbors in Rajajinagar.
They had previously bought drugs from Mohalla bathing in Mysuru and sold them in Bengaluru.
Both have been ordered under narcotics and psychotropic substances (NDPS) acting and sent to the central prison, Agrahara Parappana, after being returned in the custody of the judiciary.
