Kanpur: Three accused of accusations had been arrested for allegedly attacking a 45-year-old man, accused him of indulging religious repentance in the Barra City region on Wednesday.
So far, six people have been arrested in connection with the incident.
“Three people who were arrested on Friday night were identified as Ankit Verma aka Gadumna, Keshu and Shivam.
From all this, Keshu was mentioned in FIR,” said DCP South Raveena Tyagi on Saturday.
Police are now seeking accused of others.
Three accused of being arrested earlier on Thursday in connection with the incident was released on the guarantee of the police station itself.
Police Barra has submitted FIR under the IPC part 147, 323, 504 and 506 against a local man, who runs the bandrisi, his son and about 10 unknown people based on complaints by the victim, Afmed Ahmed.
