Kanpur Metro Project: Training Train Operators Begins in Lucknow

Times News Network Kanpur: Cum Train Operator Controller (SCTO) from Kanpur Metro is given world-class training at the center of excellence for training (CoET) in Lucknow to start Metro services between IIT and Motijheel (priority corridors) in Kanpur.
To provide training to his staff, Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (UPMRC) is equipped with all the necessary technical equipment in the coet located in Transport Nagar Depot, the most prominent Lucknow is ‘train simulator’.
Only four Metro Rail Corporations -Up Metro, Delhi Metro, Hyderabad Metro and Namma Metro (Bangalore), have this facility in India.
Simulator is a replica or a copy of a taxi from the taxi driver from the Metro train so that the ‘train operator’ can have real experience during the training period.
First, trainees underwent class training and then they were trained in the simulator.
In the first phase, trainees were trained on the desktop simulator where there was a screen like a taxi driving train with all control buttons and lever.
In the second phase, the driver was given the experience of ‘5D motion simulator’ that is.

At this stage, trainees are being trained to open and close the right door.
They are also trained to complete or handle all types of emergency situations / technical disorders, such as doors attached or shoot.

Training for the same thing is also given in the training session.
CCTV is installed in a simulator through which the monitoring team continues to monitor and evaluate the performance of the training participants.

The train operator was given a ‘competency certificate’ only after practicing 400 km of train operations.
