Kanpur: SNK PAN Masala Owner, Director was held for Evasion for RS 50 Crore GST

Kanpur: A team of Directors General GST Intelligence stormed the SNK PAN Masala Group factory and arrested the owner of Naveen Kurele and Director of Avinash Modi on Tuesday.
The arrest was made in connection with GST avoidance around Rs 50 Crores.
After the implementation of GST, it was said that this arrest was probably the first case where the owner of the Group Pan Masala was large and the director was nailed in the city.
Both were arrested under section 132 of GST.
Raids began on Monday, where the team separated from DG GSTI swooped PAN Masala company company in 15 district districts including Kanpur.
Kurele and Modi are stored in the locking of the Kakealtho Police Station on Tuesday night.
They were taken to court on Wednesday afternoon, where GST Intelligence officials put the application for their transit shipments.
GST officers will now take them to the Meerut after removing their transit.
This campaign was launched after a raid at the Delhi company recently.
From there the team found evidence of supply of packaging material without bills, after several PAN Masala factories, including SNK raided.
The Delhi company supplies most of the raw materials to the SNK PAN Masala company.
When the GST intelligence wing matches the plastic packaging material supplied by the Delhi company with PAN Masala Company books, in-depth that there is a large gap between input and output.
After that the team captured Kurele and Modi.
A city police official said that GST intelligence officials arrested Naveen Kurele and Avinash Modi from SNK Pan Masala Group on Tuesday night and took them to the Kakealtho Police Station after a medical examination at night.
“After permission from Police Commissioner Asim Kumar Arun, Inspector Kakealtho Kunj Bihari Mishra save the duo in locking for one night.
On Wednesday morning, GST intelligence officers prepared all papers from the GST office located in Sarvodaya Nagar.
After this, they were taken to the police station Kakealtho around 12 noon and the police took them to detention.
Then, around 12:15, officers took them to court, “he said further.
Inspector of Kunjo Kunj Bihari Mishra told reporters that the Director General of GST Intelligence officers had brought PAN Masala traders to the police station on Tuesday night.
“Because there was no locking at the GST office here, GST officials asked them to look after the duo at the police station locking.
After permission from the City Police Commissioner, both are stored in locking and then handed over to the officers when they arrived in the morning,” said Mishra Furthermore.
The GST team will now bring both of them with meerut, he added.
To remember, the central and state income tax department has invaded SNK PAN Masala Group recently.
Investment companies in the real estate business also occur in the attack.
