Lucknow: Kanwar Association at Uttar Pradesh decided to call Kanwar Yatra this year on Saturday recalling the warning of the Covid-19 pandemic and experts about the third wave in the coming months.
The move came after talks with representatives of state governments, said sources.
Secretary of the Additional Head (Information) Navneet Sehgal confirmed that Yatra was called for the second year in a row after appealing the government.

This year, Uttarakhand canceled after drawing Flak Over Holding Kumbh earlier this year.
However, up wanting to set it according to the Covid protocol.
The Supreme Court then took Suo Motu’s awareness about this issue and served the notification to the government above.
On Friday, a Supreme Court bench led by Justice RF Nariman has directed the government to reconsider his decision to enable annual religious yatra, scheduled to start from July 25.
Sugging the government towards even Yatra Symbolism remembering a pandemic, SC continues to say that if the government does not call it, the court will be forced to place an order.
For this, the government says that “if” Yatra occurs, it will occur in accordance with the Covid-19 protocol and “with the approval of the Kanwar Association”.
The chairman of Yogi Minister Aditarang then instructed the Secretary of the Additional Chief of Awasthi and the DGP of Muttering Goel to speak with the Kanwar Association to reach the final decision before the government proposed a statement on Monday.
Uttarakhand was previously forced to suspend Char Dham Yatra after the High Court had drawn it to allow Kumbh Mela in the middle of the second wave.
