Madurai: But for Kanyakumari District and the parts of Tuticorin Regency almost no rain in most of the South Regency on Wednesday and Thursday.
Kanyakumari district recorded an average rainfall of 32.16 mm, which was the highest in the southern district for 24 hours until 8 am on Thursday.
Chittar I (71.5 mm), Chittar (70 mm), Thuckalay (60 mm), Adyamadai (58 mm), Pechiparai (57.8 mm) and kolipurv valuable (55 mm) recorded rainfall of more than 50 mm in the most district South.

A hut in the calculated area was completely damaged while two at Agastheeswaram and one in Thiruvattar was partly damaged.
Tiruparapu waterfalls see heavy water flow while many tanks in the district continue to overflow.
Tenkasi (14.4 mm) and Tuticorin (10.41 mm) are the only other districts in the southern region to record an average rainfall of more than 10 mm in 24 hours ending Thursday morning.
But for Kayathar (59 mm) and sathankulam (46.6 mm), other places were recorded less than 30 mm.
There is no rainfall recorded in several places in the district.
Twenty families from Chinnarkulam Village at Union Karungulam were transferred to the wedding hall because the surplus of water from the nearest tank entered the house in the region.
Rainfall of less than 10 mm was recorded in seven other southern districts even though some district administration stated holidays for educational institutions on Wednesday and Thursday.
Madurai recorded an average rainfall of 0.47 mm because the rain was only recorded in Viraganur (6.1 mm) and Mettupatti (3.2 mm).
The rainfall recorded in the other southern district from 8am on Wednesday to 8 in the morning on Thursday was as follows: Ramanathapuram (0.06 mm), Theni (0.13 mm), dindigul (0.4 mm), Sivaganga (0.43 mm) and virudhunagar (2.87 mm).
