Gurugram: Sushil Kajal’s family, a farmer who sued by police in Karnal on August 28 and died a day later, has alleged that he was cremated in a hurry, without post-mortem, under pressure from the police.
In accordance with the norm, post-mortem must if death is unnatural.
The family has demanded a judicial investigation into this matter.
“We were on our way to a civil hospital when we were stopped by several police officers and asked to go home.
They said we would face accusations if we finished post-mortem and that they had received ‘orders from above’,” Alleged Sushil’s Son Sahil (23 ).
The police denied that claim, said nothing stopped them to complete post-mortem.
“This is a false accusation.
If he (Sushil) was injured, there would be a Medico-Legal report (MLR), but no,” Karnal DC Nishant Singh Yadav.
The family, however, said while there was no MLR on the day of Lathicharge, it was done the next day, at that time Sushil had died.
Sushil, a marginal marginal farmer who has two hectares of land, has reached the house in Raipur Jattan Village at 8:30 a.m.
after lathicharge.
Sahil told Tii, he could barely stand up and his shirt was covered in land and blood.
He didn’t eat anything and took painkillers with turmeric milk and fell on Charpoy to sleep, he added.
“He bruised on his body.
He felt dizzy, so I suggested that he take him to the hospital but he said many farmers had been beaten, most of whom were old.
He said if his condition did not improve, he would see a doctor in the morning,” said Sahil.
However, the next morning when his wife Sudesh went to check it out, he didn’t wake up.
“I cried for help and called my child.
I never imagined him he would leave us like this,” he said.
Jagdeep Singh Aulakh, a member of the SKM Core Committee, claimed the farmers were charged four times.
“Cremation was carried out in a hurry that the family could not wait for us,” he said.
