Karnataka: 23 infected students to take the SSLC exam

Bengaluru: A total of 23 students who tested positively and still undergoing treatment will appear for the SSLC exam on Monday.
Each educational officer block has arranged so that these students take the exam in Covid care centers near them.
Overall, almost 8.8 lakh students are expected to appear for the exam.
Of these, more than 4.7 lakh are boys.
Because of the pandemic and fear of students who signed Covid-19, the Ministry of Education has introduced a new format for objective types with multiple choice questions.
The answer needs to be marked on the OMR sheet – the first at this level.
On Monday, the exam will be held for the core subjects of science, mathematics, and social sciences.
Students will be tested for a total of 40 signs in each subject.
Last year, positive Covid students were allowed to take additional exams and CET.
With rain hit the country, transportation for students, especially in rural areas, has been arranged.
The department said that the SDMC vehicle will also be used if students cannot reach the exam center.
Students from 14,929 schools – 5,289 government schools, 3,397 assisted schools and 6,243 schools without assistance – are scheduled to appear for the exam.
About 6,000 centers have been prepared for the exam.
In addition to the newly cut format, the exam has been divided into two sessions on two days – Monday and Thursday.
Language papers will be held on Thursday.
More than 1.2 Lakh vaccination officials will be on duty.
Only 12 students will sit in each room, with one student per table.
Each center will have a health check-up counter, which will open at 8:30 a.m.
The counter equipped with thermal scanner, credit oximeters, first aid kit and mask.
The Ministry of Education says all arrangements have been made for the smooth test.
