Karnataka: 35-year-old woman was found dead in Brahmavar Flat

Udupi: A woman, who has returned from Dubai, was found killed in her apartment in Brahmavar on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Vishala Ganiga, 35, a native of Gujjadi in Kundapur Taluk.
In complaints, Vasu Ganiga S (70), the father of the victim, stated that Vishala was married to Ramakrishna Ganiga from Beejooru.
The couple settled in Dubai along with their daughter Arvi.
Vishala, along with her daughter, has returned from Dubai on July 2.
Mother and daughter lived in their flat in Kumragodu at Bramhavar Taluk.
On Monday, Vishala went to Gujadi in the Autorickshaw with his parents and daughter.
When he reached Gujadi, Vishala returned automatically to withdraw money from the Brahmavara Bank branch.
When he could not reach around 12 noon, Father Vasu told his other daughter Vinaya.
Then, he and Vinaya went to Flat of Vishala at around 6:10 a.m.
and they found the main door locked.
Using the backup button, they opened the door and found Vishala lying dead in her room, police said.
The black power cable was found around Vishala’s neck.
The police suspect that concessions might use an electric cable to strangle the victim.
Gold ornaments worth Rs 2 lakh are also lost from the body.
The case has been registered under Section 449, 302 and 392 IPC.
