Hassan: In the case of poisoning, 38 Monkeys (Bonnet Macaque) were found dead near Chowdanahalli Village in Belur Taluk in Hassan District on Wednesday night.
The monkey was killed elsewhere and the carcass was dumped in the village.

At 11pm on Wednesday, when the villagers would go home, they saw some Gunny bags spread on the road.
They opened the bag and were surprised to see monkeys in it.
Most monkeys are dead except five, who jump out of the bag and ran towards the forest area.

The duo was also found beaten by the club.

On Friday we will send samples for the test.
The results will confirm whether they are poisoned,” said Gangadhar, assistant director, hospital Veterinary, battered.
