Mangaluru: A 43-year-old man, who was on his way to Bommanahalli from Pavanje, was killed after the tree fell on him on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Suresh Navada, who works for IBM software companies in Bengaluru, police said.
Navada along with his wife Rashmin and children arrived at Pavanje on December 23 to spend time with his family.
They were on their way back to Bommanahalli in Bengaluru.
The family left home around 5:30 a.m.
and when they reached Addahole in Shiradi Village at around 7:30 a.m., they heard the sound of the car.
Navada stopped the car and went down to check when the tree from the forest area ordered fell to him, killed him in place, police said.
The car was alarmed in the incident.
His wife and children escaped were not hurt.
