Karnataka: 45-year drive away with police jeep

Hubballi: Nagappa Hadapad takes care of a secret desire: to drive a police jeep.
On Monday morning, the 45-year-old came with a police jeep parked outside the Annigigi police station.
Twenty-four hours later, Nagappa Hadapad was arrested near Byadigi when he took a nap.
I Julakatti, Sub-Inspector, Annigeri, said when they realized the police jeep parked in front of their stations were lost, they scan the CCTV footage and see the defendant driving by vehicle.
Hunting was immediately launched for accused.
On Tuesday morning near Bydagi, about 50 km from Annigeri, the passing person told the police that someone in a police jeep was suspicious.
Police Bydagi arrested the defendant and grab the jeep.
“He was sleeping on the jeep when we arrested him.
During the investigation, Nagappa told us that he had wandered around the police station for several days and observed the use of the jeep he wanted to control,” Judi said.
Nagappa told the police that he was getting around and not thinking about how he intended to return the vehicle to the police station.
“My desire for a long time to drive a police jeep was fulfilled, and I did not endanger anyone,” he told the police.
Complaints have been submitted at the Annigeri Police Station.
