Srinasapur: More than 50 worshipers who consumed prasadam at Gangamma Temple in Beaganahalli Village from Taluk Srinivaspur Kolar fell ill on Saturday and rushed to the hospital.
They are out of danger.
The temple has distributed prasadam on the occasion of the new year, said Tahsildar Srinivas, adding those who fell ill including 19 school students.
At the request of the temple authority, two families from the village prepared Lemon rice and Kesarbath as Prasadam and distributed it to worshipers who arrived at the temple.
At night most schools of children who have consumed prasadam while returning from school began to vomit and complain of nausea.
