Mangaluru: Coastal District reported 700 new Covid-19 cases on Monday.
Dakshina Kannada reported 363 new cases with a test level of test (TPR) of 5.6%.
New cases include 20 students and teachers.
As many as 496 students and 79 teachers have been tested positive for Covid-19 in the district from January 1.
From 55,298 children who qualified to receive vaccines, 49,699 have been given the first dose and 5,599 that have not been borne.
Housing schools at Mangaluru North Block have been announced the detention zone after five children were tested positively.
The district also saw six deaths more taking dead to 1,757.
Meanwhile, Udupi reported 337 new cases with 16.5% TPR.
While Udupi Taluk reported 176 cases, Kundapur and Karkala Taluk each recorded 93 and 62 cases.
The district reported two more deaths and active cases reduced from 4,975 to 4,479.
