Karnataka: A week after Dasara, the price of vegetables continues to increase

Mangaluru: Dasara Festivity Ends, people across the country are preparing for the upcoming Lamp Festival, Deepavali.
However, the price of vegetables that surge is likely to throw Pall on glitter which usually get along with deepavali.
Although more than a week has passed since the conclusion of the Dasara celebration, vegetables continue to remain dear to customers.
Before Dasara, the price of one kilogram of tomatoes hovered around Rs 20, while the numbers went up to Rs 40 now.
Similarly, carrots are sold at Rs 75 / kg, Ivy Pumpkin at Rs 65 / kg.
However, capsicum burns a very deep hole in the customer’s budget, sold very surprising Rs 138 / kg; The price of one kilogram of capsicum generally floated in the range of Rs 50 to 65, but the cost has increased more than doubled, a lot to be disappointed from retail traders and customers.
Hopcom officials said that, even though the capsicum was unusual used in the preparation of delicious traditional Dakshina Kannada, fast food restaurants and North Indian restaurants buy vegetables, despite the hybrivalive prices.
Among other reasons, vendors and stakeholders quote the increase in transportation costs for a surge in vegetable prices.
The universal shower in Malnad and the old Mysore region has resulted in a large percentage loss of results.
Because most vegetables arrived at the beach from Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, Shivamogga, MySuru, and Chamarajanagar District, climate fluctuations in the district have pushed prices north in Dakshina Kannada.
