Karnataka accounts for 21% of the Indian EV market

Karnataka ordered 21.9% of the Indian electric vehicle market
Karnataka can proudly claim the Country of Electric Vehicle Capital (EV) if the vehicle is spent under the phase-II adoption and manufacturing of hybrid and electrical vehicles (fame) are taken into account.
Below, 87,659 electric vehicles (in category two, three and four wheels) have been supported until July 20, 2021, by means of incentives.
In accordance with this, 21.9 percent of vehicles or 19,270 are sold in Karnataka.
The second second is Tamil Nadu with 13,515 EVs, then Maharashtra with 9,393 EVs.
The Union Government has approved a phase-II scheme from a fame scheme with a 10,000 crore RS expenditure for a period of three years starting from April 1, 2019, to produce requests by supporting 7,000 e-bus, 5 lakh e-3 – 55000 e-4 wheel passenger cars (Including a strong hybrid) and 10 lakh e-2 wheelers.
However, the number of charging stations is still quite gloomy.
Although Karnataka has 21.9 percent EV, the functional filling station in Karnataka is only 12.8 percent.
So far, the Ministry of Heavy Industries has provided sanctions of 2,877 electric vehicle charging stations of Rs 500 Crore in 68 cities in 25 states / UT under the Indian Fame II Fame Scheme.
At present, there are 350 charging stations in India with Karnataka which has only 45 (the majority are in Bengaluru).

Strangely, Delhi has the highest charging station (94).
About 77 charging stations have also been arranged on the highway, however, no one is connected to Bengaluru.
Only Delhi-Chandigarh who has 24, Mumbai-Pune has 15, Delhi-Jaipur-Agra has 29 and Jaipur Delhi has nine charging stations.
Rohan Reddy, a Techie said, “We can see requests taking for EV but we need more public filling stations.
At present, most EV is the two wheels used to travel in the city for short distances after being charged at home.
Many are still skeptical about taking EV from Bengaluru because there are few charging stations on the highway.
More charging stations will strengthen trust in people to use more EV.

In return for Lok Sabha’s question, the Union Minister for the heavy industry, Krisan Pal Gurjar said that according to the E-Venan Portal 4.0, the total number of electric vehicles registered in this country for the past three years (until July 19, 2021) is around 5.20 lakh.
From here, Karnataka has 26,209 EVs including 9,591 in Bengaluru.
However, electric vehicles have not taken steps compared to non-eV mode.
At present, the percentage of electricity sales to non-electric vehicles for the past three years has become 1 percent.
