Karnataka can introduce prepaid electricity

Bengaluru: Energy Minister Karnataka V Sunil Kumar on Thursday told the legislative assembly that the Government Department in all countries owed Rs 5,792 Crore in contributions that hurt the department to reform and carry quality electrical equipment.

Meanwhile, Kumar said the government was also in talks with the industrial sector to provide strength to cheaper and better strength.

We are there to sort the industry concern in connection with power rates and electricity quality,” he said.
Responding to additional questions regarding the provision of free power for coffee planter, up to 10 hp, Kumar said he would discuss the problem with CM and come up with a solution.
