Karnataka CM visits areas affected by floods in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Head of Minister of Karnataka Basavaraj Bommai on Tuesday visited and examined areas affected by flooding in Bengaluru.
The minister’s chairman visited Kendriya Vihar apartment and its surroundings in the city.

Previously, the minister’s chairman had announced that a number of RS 5 Lakh would be paid as compensation for a truly damaged house and RS 3 Lakh for houses that were damaged in part in three installments.
District collectors have been instructed to withdraw the first installment of Rs 1 lakh immediately.
Bommai further said that the state government has released Rs 500 Crore for road repairs and broken bridges.
The school and widevadis also suffer from damage and repairs they will be taken through NDRF funds.
Rain has caused extensive damage in Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru, Tumakuru, Kolar, Chikkaballapur, Ramanagar, Hassan District.
Karnataka and neighboring countries have received unrelenting rainfall in November.
The Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) on Sunday estimates that light is widespread to moderate rainfall in Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry for the next five days.
