Mangaluru: With Dakshina Kannada District witnessed a surge in Covid-19 daily cases, the administration prepared to face the wave of possible third infections.

The Indian pediatric association has conducted two training sessions for medical officers and staff to handle pediatric cases.
Meanwhile, 75 oxygenated beds are ready at the Wenlock Hospital regional sophisticated pediatric treatment center.
The district has also made arrangements to maintain enough intravenous immunoglobulin supplies to manage cases in children, Rajendra said.
“We have appointed eight medical officers, 77 nurse staff, 89 Lab technicians, 54 junior health assistants, seven group workers and 51 operators entered data through state disaster management funds.
Meanwhile, the government has gave sanctions 87 doctors, including 17 specialists.
