Karnataka: Government schools will be reopened today

Bengaluru: The government and other state council schools will be reopened for new academic sessions on Thursday, but for the second year in a row, students will lose classes on campus.
Class will start virtually, but the teacher is skeptical attendance.
The teacher has been asked to follow up on students using digital facilities and identify the accessibility of each student to the gadget.
They then had to share it into groups based on the availability of internet, telephone, television and radio.
For those who do not have access to one of the means of this communication, the teacher must ask parents to identify neighbors who have the device.
However, the school suggests this can be a difficult task because some teachers continue to serve in Covid and have not been relieved.
“Even though most teachers have been relieved, there are still some who are still in Covid tasks.
We have written to officials and education ministers themselves have asked them to be relieved,” said V Anbukjar, Commissioner for public instruction.
The Karnataka High School Association said the number of teachers had not returned to around 5,000.
These teachers help with contacts, vaccinations, and data entry.
A government principal told TII that many of the teachers at school had not returned from Covid’s task.
“The class is scheduled to be continued on Thursday, and they should contact students through WhatsApp and coordinate classes and lessons,” he said.
Anbukumar said he hoped the teachers would do our best to reach out to children.
“We have asked them to assess the accessibility of gadgets and competencies of students from June 15.
We hope the teacher has done it now,” Commissioner said.
However, some skeptical teachers about how many students will understand and maintain the WhatsApp class.
“We have formed the WhatsApp group, but many of them don’t follow what’s happening in it.
Their parents go to work, and children don’t have access to the phone.
Sometimes, parents don’t recharge the phone.
We have to see how many are Really joined, “said a principal of the government elementary school in East Bengaluru.
Moidenkutty, President of the School Development Monitoring Committee, said: “We have made several requests to the government to reopen schools with less than 50 students in rural areas for classes of oncampus.
Many children in rural areas do not have facilities to join virtual classes.
They must Located on campus.
“Meanwhile, many schools called for a meeting of parents to understand the accessibility of gadgets.
“We don’t know how much will join.
But many parents who come to be inoculated on campus have been told to attend,” said a teacher.
Malikarjun Kodathi from a higher government elementary school, Kodathi, said: “We hope to decorate our classroom and send photos to students in WhatsApp.
We miss children on campus, but we hope to contact them tomorrow.” Class DD Chandana It is expected to start from July 5 and the schedule has been released.
Textbooks are available online, while the YouTube class and Portal DeeseSha have available content.
