Mysuru: It is often claimed that the potential of tourism countries under less utilized by the sequential government, generate large income and employment losses for the country.
In fact, many times, neighboring countries have obtained carnataka losses.
One complaint of industrial stakeholders is that the State Department of Tourism failed to implement a new scheme launched by the central government.
The latest evidence for this accusation is that the state government does not send proposals for the Ministry of Tourism Union for financial support for rural circuits under the Swadesh Darshan scheme.
Day 1 from the Monsun Loksabha session on Monday, answering questions raised by Mysuru MP Pratap Sime and others, Tourism Minister Union G Kiswan Reddy informed that there were no proposals received by the Ministry of Tourism from Karnataka for the development under tourism.
According to reports treated by the Minister, the State did not receive funds under the Mission of Shyama Prasad Mukherji Rurban (SPMRM) which was launched in 2016.
Under the initiative of the RPMRM, the adjacent state received funding support for eight projects when Tamil Nadu received support for one project.
“Karnataka has great tourism potential.
From promoting tourist attractions to develop clusters, many need to be done.
Ghats Barat, Yoga and Ayurveda, historical and inheritance sites can make destination countries that are preferred for tourists.
Because this is the service industry, We can produce large employment opportunities and local income, “said MP BJP.
Prashanth BS, MySuru’s travel association president blamed a lack of vision as an excuse for such problems.
“Central assistance is highly required to develop the tourism sector in the state.
In such a scenario, the government failed to send a completely sad proposal,” he said.
“We need officials who are committed to the development of the tourism sector.
State government must quickly respond to the central government scheme to get more funds.
These problems must be overcome,” he said.
CP Tourism Minister Yogeeshwara told that the new tourism policy was intended to promote rural tourism.
“We are trying to create rural tourism clusters and also take other initiatives to seduce tourists,” he said.
