Bengaluru: Center for AVGC excellence (animation, visual effects, gaming, and Comics CoE), is considered as a pioneering high-tech digital media hub, funded by the Karnataka Electronic Department, IT / BT, launched on Thursday.

The center also has a ‘finishing school’ that offers unique courses based on technology that appears such as virtual reality, digital compression, photogrammetry, educational gamification, real-time virtual production, and other emerging technology, he said.
Stating that the state will come out with new AVGC policies within one year and the land needed will be given within a year to establish a special ‘digital media entertainment area’, said Minister, more small coes will be arranged in all states, especially on campus University campuses and collaboration will be made with more art institutions.
E V Ramana Reddy, Secretary’s Head Assistant, Department of Electronics, IT / BT, and S & T said, Karnataka contributed 20 percent of the Indian entertainment & avgc industry.
“A total of 300 animations, VFX & Gaming Studios operate in Karnataka employs more than 15,000 professionals.
With this coe launch, the AVGC ecosystem will benefit further,” he said, adding that the purpose of CoE was to syndicate and provide the best facilities and technology to start , AVGC Studios, and professionals who find it difficult to fund or access high-tech stacks individually.
