Bengaluru: The State Government on Thursday made a decision to delay all general elections until after the Pandemic Covid-19 lost his ferocity in Karnataka.
Anticipating the third wave of pandemic, the cabinet on Thursday decided that the state would not be in any position to host each general election in the state.
The same will be submitted to the State Election Commission (SEC) and Chief Electoral Officer (CEO).
“The Cabinet has confirmed that the state does not have a position to hold general elections because of the pandemic.
We have, thus, decided that all decisions relating to the selection of Taluk and Zilla Panchayat will be taken only in December 2021,” said Minister of Law and Parliament Basavaraj Bommai after Cabinet meeting.
However, the cabinet did make an exception by suggesting that the government agree to hold elections to the president and vice president of the cooperative problems.
“The Minister of Cooperation has suggested that this election involve no more than 10 or 20 people in every society and it will be very helpful in ensuring transparency and accountability.
Therefore, the cabinet has agreed to this election alone,” said Bommai.
Previously, Bommai announced that Karnataka would host the delayed global investors who met at the Bengaloru Palace on 2022.
Named Invest Karnataka -2022, a business event will take place between February 9 to February 11.
“We believe that the state will secure a good response,” Minister said.
Bommai said the cabinet was notified by the Industrial Department that they were in touch with large investors and other companies around the world to make successful events.
Furthermore, BOMMAI also said the Cabinet also agreed to oxygen producers and storage policies in the state with large SOPs for private entrepreneurs.
“After facing a disaster situation lacking oxygen during the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic, we wanted to secure our oxygen supply and storage for the future.
Thus, we have decided to issue SOPs in the state for private entrepreneurs to invest in manufacturing and storage, “He said.
At present, Karnataka has 9 oxygen manufacturing units and six companies involved in it.
Although it has a production capacity of 815 metric tons (MT), storage capacity is placed at 5,280 mt.
“To increase this capacity, both manufacturing and storage, we have decided to bring detailed SOP policies,” said Bommai.
Therefore, oxygen producers and / or storage companies will be provided by 25 percent subsidies at their fixed asset values ​​subject to the minimum investment of Rs 10 Crore.
The Country Cabinet also approved a replacement of 100 percent at the cost of land conversion and 100 percent subsidies on Cap Cap for loans and transfer of land documents.
Re-registered Re 1000 RS documentation will also be provided as a concession.
“We have also agreed to provide 100 percent release on stamp duty for three years after commencement of commercial operations, and additional tariff subsidies of RS 1,000 per MT oxygen are supplied to the state government,” said Bommai.
