Mangaluru: Whatsapp message allegedly sent by clothing to MGM College students in Udupi, who asked them to bring a turmeric scarf to college on Monday had been widely distributed in the media.

Tension has won on the College campus on Tuesday after several students arrived in saffron turbans and scarves against Muslim students wearing a headscarf.
College decided to declare a vacation until the material was driven.
The message WhatsApp stated that Hi Jab’s controversy must end at MGM College.
“It’s very important for students to bring a turmeric scarf in their bags and wear them when entering the campus just after the organizer sends news,” said the message.
Meanwhile, Udupi Jilla Muslim OkkOota has demanded that political parties and organizations affiliated with them should not interfere with the education system.
“They should not be involved in any activity that can affect the rights of religious and constitutional students or incite students for violence,” Okkoota said.
Okkoota said all efforts must be made for collective deliberations and decision making rather than individual efforts by several leaders and or ganization.
