Dharwad: The state government has attracted the order of June 2020 which stopped recruitment for empty poles of teachers and studies in private-assisted schools and PU colleges.
The order was produced from the financial crisis caused by Covid-19.
The latest instructions, which were issued by the Secretary (Education) on July 5, said that the assisted management could be continued with a process for posts which fell on December 31, 2015.
Chairman of the Legislative Council of the Basavaraj Horatti, Arun Shahapur and Congressman RM Kuberappa urged the government to provide permission.
There are 850 jobs in private institutions.
New direction may not solve the problems faced by personal assisted institutions as permits to fill the posts coming with motorists that lecturers must have a full workload.
In many PU colleges, especially in rural areas, there is only one division of each for PUC I and II.
The maximum number of students in the division is 80.
In this situation, the lecturer will not have a full workload.
Previously, the government was used to allow the appointment of a lecturer for each subject regardless of workload and quoted motorists only for full-time staff for the same subject.
But now it has made a mandatory full workload for the first post, and many universities will struggle to fulfill this condition and must compete with temporary teacher services.
