Bengaluru: Pandemic has disrupted the dental and MBBS internship, with a long college closure forcing changes in the calendar of events.
In accordance with the Indian calendar dental council, the internship must begin in August and end in July.
However, universities have been forced to compile their own schedule because of delays in conducting tests.
This has had an impact on students who plan to try PG-NEET / MDS or other entrance tests.

“Meanwhile, Batch 2017 students who have completed their final inspection are ready for the internet.
We have made complicated arrangements to avoid overlapping.
It will take time to settle.”
Dr.
We Krishna Nayak, Principal and Dean, AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental, Derlakatte, said their internship was resolved in October and the new batch began in January.
“We walked only a few months behind the schedule compared to other universities.
Early internship settlement has helped dental graduates preparing for the PG-Neet scheduled in March,” he said.
This pandemic also had a negative impact on 2021 and 2022, said Dr.
Antony Sylvan d’Souza, Dean, Pastor Muller Medical College.
Usually, MBBS students start their courses in mid-August.
However, the latter batch began in February 2021 and there was no word when the batch will now arrive on campus.
“Internship will be a difficult job when the same course starts on a different schedule with a gap for a few months,” said Dr.
D’Souza.
Most of the dental graduates prepare PG-Neet worried.
“We haven’t finished our internships and may have to wait for another test.
It would be very helpful if the PG-Neet was postponed a few months,” said an internship.
