Karnataka: KSRTC hopes to ensure revenge tourism

Bengaluru: After facing the challenges of a pandemic induced, Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) hopes that the ‘Revenge Tourism’ trend will raise its income.
It plans to introduce 25 tour packages at the end of August, offering to bring people from the technology capital to various destinations inside and outside the country.
Chitradurga, Mysuru, Nandi Hills / Bhoga Nandeeshwara Temple, Gumbaz Goals, Hampi, Dharmasthala, Kukke Subrousarya, Tungabhadra Dam, Puducherry, Mahabalipuram (Tamil Nadu) and G & Ganda City (Andhra Pradesh) are among the places to be closed.
Revenge tourism refers to hidden requests to travel after Covid-19 locking.
On July 23, KSRTC introduced a tour package from Bengaluru to Jogging Falls through Shivamogga and Sagara (Friday and Saturday).
It operates non-AC sleep buses, charging Rs 2,200 per ticket for adults and Rs 2,000 for children, and packages including drinks, breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

JOG Falls generally attract large crowd during the rainy season, and KSRTC officials say that the latest response to the package is very good.

The Tirumala KSRTC pilgrimage package from Bengaluru also received a good response.
Every day, three to six buses are operated from the city.
A total of 1,903 passengers have traveled since July 17, generating 24.1 lakh rs income with EPKM of RS 110.
