Karnataka Law for Public Temple Kick

Written by news2in

MySuru: The Karnataka government has told the laws of the Karnataka Religious structure (protection), 2021, which seeks to protect the temple built in public places from demolition.
The law protects existing illegal structures that are built on public land and will not enable the structure or construction of new religions in public areas without permission.
However, the law will not protect the structure if the case is delayed in court.
The law came one and a half months after the MySuru District Government began the demolition of the temple that had appeared on public land without authorization.
Demolition of Mahadevamma Temple evokes a strong reaction throughout the political spectrum, forcing the government to hastily appear with the bill to protect the temple like that.
