Bengaluru: Karnataka on Saturday recorded 1,869 cases of Covid-19 and 42 deaths, taking counting to 28.82 lakh and tolls to 36,121.
As many as 3,144 patients recovered from infection, taking the total amount spent to 28.16.013, leaving 30,082 active cases in the state, the Bulletin Health Department said.
Bengaluru Urban District reported the highest number of 432 cases, followed by Dakshina Kannada with 218, MySuru 207, 173 in Hassan and 101 in Chikkamagaluru.
MySuru directed a number of deaths with seven deaths, followed by the urban district of Bengaluru and Beleagavi with six, respectively in Dakshina Kannada, four in Kolar, while the remaining number spread in other districts, he said.
There are no deaths in 16 districts.
A total of 1,42,856 Covid tests were carried out on Saturday, taking cumulative as far as 3.67 crores.
That day also saw 1,86,432 people vaccinated, which took the overall number to 2.70 crores.
The level of participants is 1.30 percent and the case mortality rate is 2.24 percent, the department said.
