Bengaluru: In the first type of Karnataka, the minister who had just swore Shankar Patil Munenkoppa faced a shame when he had to take an oath twice in four hours because of his mistake.
Because, the newly plated minister from Navalgund reads an office oath twice but forgot to read the oath of confidentiality.
On Wednesday afternoon, Munenkkppa all smiled because he was an inclusion of surprises into the new Bumavaraj Bomavai government swore as minister.
Glowing and laughing, Munenkkppa looks quite serious when taking an oath with the nerves chasing behind.
While Tharwand Governor Gehlot gave the oath, MunenKppa read Oath Office first and read it again thought it was an oath of confidentiality.
It is said to forget to play the page and not read the Office of secrecy.
Highlighting that the event swore was just a “formality”, no one realized the mistake and Munenkoppa went ahead and signed the Minister’s Registry in accordance with the protocol and continued to take a senior party blessing.
The minister, although technically did not swear, proceeded to attend the first cabinet.
However, not long after the cabinet began, Raj Bhavan called the head secretary and reminded him of the mistake.
Head of Secretary P Ravi Kumar, according to sources, rushed to the cabinet room and reminded Munenkoppa and cm about shame and asked the former to go to Raj Bhavan to take an oath once again.
Raj Bhavan asked Munenkoppa to come to the Governor’s office at 6:30 a.m.
to do it back.
“It was very embarrassing for the government because we had to go back to all actions.
Munenkkppa vowed, in front of the governor for the second time, and ensured that this time either oath was recorded,” said a government official.
The incident was the second in the past year, with a similar action it was recorded in Kerala where Devakulam Mla Anthony Raju had to reclaim the oath twice in two days because of his oath translation “in the name of God” or “I truly emphasized” , Munenkkpa is not available for comments when it will print.
