Karnataka: More than 100 in Tumakuru forced to sleep on the road when Bank Seal 35 houses

Tumakuru: More than 100 residents, including Elder, Baby, Children, Women and New Mothers, spent Tuesday night on the road in heavy rain in Tumaku.

Lakshmi, a tenant and daily wage worker at the oil plant, said he had paid Rs 2,10,000 as a deposit and stayed at home for two years hiring.
Widow, Lakshmi remained with her son who studied in college, and his mother, Hemavathi.
“Last night we were forced to live outside our home because bank officials sealed them.

My mother was soaked in the rain and suffered fever.

B Vasanth, II PU students, told Toi, “All of my books are in the house and I have a monthly test on Thursday and I can’t go to college.” Tailor Shekar, who has lived in a rent house for the past three months, said he spent the night on the road with his wife, son and 10-month-old girl.
Shekar said that some people went to a friend’s house and neighbors.
“Bank officials sealed the house by sending women, children and elderly when we went to work,” he added.
Vegetable vendor Manjamma said, “My daughter studied at SSLC.
I can’t send it to school because her uniforms and books are in a closed house.”
