Karnataka: Muslim Villager gets secular farewell

Koppal: a Muslim man who has worked for communal harmony in his village through social work and by participating in all Hindu religious events, given delivery on Sundays by Muslims and Hindus in accordance with their own traditions.
Hussainsab, in the eighties, died of cancer on Saturday.
He was put to rest in Talabalu Village in the Kukanur Taluk on Sunday.
Seer Mahadev Devaru, from Annetaneshwar Jagadguru Mutt in the Kukanur, who came to the village, said: “When Hussainsab has worked for communal harmony in the village, we highly respect him and offered him Adieu in a dignified way by doing rituals in both Muslim traditions and Hindu shows That harmony is still in our village.
“Hindu in the village gathered at Hussainsab’s house and participated in the ritual.
First, his relatives display rituals according to Muslim traditions.
After this, Hinduism performed rituals, offering Aarti, violating coconut and doing Bajianas.
Malaksab Noorabasha, son of Hussainsab, said: “My father was involved in all religious events from the two communities.
He used to take part in all Hindu events in the village.
He was respected for his secular values.
We first did our rituals like reading al- The Quran.
Hindus then do puja, Bajanas and other rituals and are arranged for a large place to keep the body to be seen by the public.
“All important religious leaders and fortune tellers of Mutt are prominent in Koppal, Mangaluru and other places participating in the funeral.
