Vijayapura: A Muslim guard is a Hindu girl watching his marriage to a Hindu man – a ceremony conducted by strict compliance with the Vedital Ritual in Vijayapura.
Pooja Vaderi was seven years old when he was left orphaned, and Mehaboob Masali, one of his neighbors in Alamela in the Vijayapura district, decided to take him to his house.

Shankar, who worked in the seed production unit in the city of Vijayapura, married Pooja on July 30 in a Hindu ceremony.
The marriage was attended by members of the Hindu and Muslim community, who blessed the bride.
Mehaboob said that they spent around Rs 1.5 lakh at the event.
Pooja who is grateful to say, “I grew up with a Muslim family for more than 11 years.
When my relatives refused to keep me following the death of my parents, the Mehaboob family took me in, and raised me as a daughter of a household.
I’ve never been forced to follow Their faith, and I was given everything I needed to practice myself.
