Karnataka: Omicron accounts for 67.5% of infections since January 1

Bengaluru: Analysis of genome sequencing by the state has revealed that 67.5% of cases of Covid-19 have been triggered by Omicron variants and 26% by Delta strains.
Starting January 1, a total of 1,853 samples were sorted and, including, 1,555 found a variety of concerns.
While 1,115 samples carrying omicron strains, 404 have deltas and 102 are strains of ETA, Beta, Kappa and Pango together.
This is very contrasting to the second wave, where the dominant strain is Delta (90.
7%).
The Ministry of Health said that 5,6,659 samples were processed until December 202 and, among them, 4,441 is a concerned variant.
4,027 were deltas and sub-lineages.
Claims exceed the number of official deaths, while the official government numbers put the number of Covid-19 deaths in Mysuru Regency at a price of 2,465 to Thursday (January 27), the government has received at least 1,300 claims outside of this number for Ex Gratia and is investigating this death is investigating this death.

BS Manjunatha Swamy, Deputy Additional Commissioner, who heads the District Committee to review Covid’s death, said, “District administration has received around 1,300 claims from families who are outside the official count.
From them, 1,069 claims have been cleaned after verifying details such as ID SRF, Hospital details and death certificates.
Applications are placed before the committee which includes district health workers, among others.
