Mangaluru: The Police of Dakshina Kannada has ordered one person on charges of theft of petroleum products in Petronet MHB Pipes Ltd from Mangaluru to Bengaluru in Arala Village.
According to complaints submitted by G Rajan, an officer responsible for the Petronet MHB station on Tuesday, officers pay attention to pressure variations from 7am to 5pm on July 11.
They assume that the pipe layer may have been damaged and therefore conduct a survey.
After digging the earth in place, they found the destruction of pipes and arrangements made to draw petroleum products.
The defendant allegedly connected a 1.5-inch pipe to the pipe and after that also included three valves with flexible cables to steal petroleum products.
While the damage to the pipe is estimated at around Rs 90,000, the exact value of stolen products has not been confirmed.
Because the land belonged to someone identified as Ivan, the police have registered cases of it under the provisions of the Petroleum and Mineral Pipeline Law and prevention of damage to public property laws and IPC parts 427, 285 and 379.
