Mangaluru: British professor from Kodagu in difficulty for allegedly sharing two obscene clips in social media groups founded by Mangalore University to discuss issues related to undergraduate programs.
The application in Telegram has more than 1,000 faculty members from Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kodagu who come under the jurisdiction of Mangalore University.
The source said the university would take action against the professor, which allegedly shared a video on Wednesday afternoon, after being investigated.
The University of PL Dharma registrar told Tii they found that the video was uploaded from the Professor Kodagu phone and ensured that if it was intentional action or the teacher was a victim of phishing attacks.
The Registrar said a cyber expert was asked to investigate the incident.
“We have accumulated enough evidence about it.
Based on expert reports, we will take action against the perpetrators, in addition to seeking necessary explanations from the professor.” The incident had made a sharp criticism of the teaching brotherhood.
In rumors that the priest of a college was named in the incident, PL Dharma said the priest was innocent.
“That’s not what we expect from the teacher.
Guilty must be punished,” said a faculty member.
