Karnataka reported 1,159 Covid cases, 21 deaths

Bengaluru: Karnataka reported 1,159 fresh Covid-19 cases and 21 deaths on Wednesday, taking the total number of infections at 29.50.604 and the toll road to 37,339.
That day also saw 1,112 release, took the total number of recovery in the state as far as 28.94,827.
Bengaluru Urban contributed most cases (359), because the city saw 232 release and seven deaths.
The total number of active cases in the country reached 18,412.
While the level of participation for that day stood at 0.66 percent, the case mortality rate (CFR) was 1.81 percent.
Of the 21 deaths reported on Wednesday, seven came from Bengaluru Urban, while Dakshina Kannada recorded five, Udupi Three and Hassan Dua, followed by others.
Among new cases in the district, Dakshina Kannada came behind Bengaluru Urban with 191 infection, the next Kodagu with 95, Mysore and each udupi, followed by others.
The Bengaluru urban district topped the list of positive cases, with a total of 12,38,196, followed by MySuru 1.76,170 and Tumakuru 1,19,284.
Among the release also, Bengaluru Urban was above with 12.14,637, followed by Mysuru 1,72,795 and Tumakuru 1.17,532.
Cumulatively total 4,36,49,857 samples were tested in a state so far, where it was 1.75,319 on Wednesday.
