Karnataka reported 264 Covid cases, 6 deaths

Bengaluru: Karnataka on Saturday adds 264 fresh cases and six deaths, taking derivative victims and deaths to 29.83.133 and 37,937, the health department said.
That day also saw 421 people being repatriated, pushing the total recovery to 29,35,659.
The active case stands at 9.508, said the Bulletin Health Department.
Bengaluru Urban contributed the maximum number of 121 cases and three deaths, he said.
Other districts also reported new cases, including 34 in Dakshina Kannada, 21 in Mysuru, 16 in Hassan, 12 in Kodagu and 10 in Udupi.
One death was reported in Gadag, MySuru and Udupi.
Bagalkote, Ballari, Biasavavi, Bidar, Chitradurga, Davangere, Dharwad, Koppal and Vijayapura reported zero infection and zero Covid-19 related deaths.
Twenty-seven districts reported zero death, said Bulletin.
The level of participation for that day was 0.43 percent and the case mortality rate was 2.27 percent.
As many as 60,141 samples were tested today, taking a cumulative number of specimens checked to 4.93 crore.
The amount of vaccination carried out so far in the state rose to 6.08 crores, with 2,03,951 people inoculated on Saturday, he said.
