Karnataka reported 803 new Covid-19 cases, 17 deaths

Bengaluru: Karnataka recorded 803 new Covid-19 cases and 17 deaths on Sunday, took the total number of infections to 29,61,735 and the toll road to 37,504.
That day also saw 802 release, taking the total number of recovery in the state as far as 29.07,548.
Of the 803 new cases reported on Sunday, 255 came from Bengaluru Urban, because the city saw 107 release and six deaths.
The total number of active cases in the country reached 16,656.
While the level of participation for that day was 0.80 percent, the case mortality rate (CFR) was 2.11 percent.
Coming behind Bengaluru Urban in the number of deaths is Dakshina Kannada, Batawayavi, Hassan and MySuru (2 each), followed by others.
Among the districts where new cases were reported, Bengaluru Urban contributed 255, Dakshina Kannada 153, Udupi 90, Kodagu 63, followed by others.
Bengaluru Urban District topped the positive case list, with a total of 12,41,425, followed by Mysuru 1.76,873 and Tumakuru 1,19,656.
Among the release as well, Bengaluru Urban was above with 12,18,000, followed by Mysuru 1,73,798 and Tumakuru 1,17,911.
Cumulatively total 4.52.94,928 samples were tested in a state so far, where 1,00,176 on Sundays only.
