Karnataka signed the MoU with Nasscom for the development of student skills in harmony with the industry

Bengaluru: Karnataka State Higher Education Board held a MoU with the National Software Association and IT Body IT (Nasscom) software company on Tuesday, aiming to provide skills development experience that is in harmony with the industry to higher education students.

“All universities in the state are covered by this MoU, it will benefit more than 5 higher education students (study in government and private institutions) every year,” Minister said as quoted by his office in a statement.
This MoU will create skills development courses available on the ‘future prime skills’ platform from Nasscom to all students and members of the Faculty of Higher Education Institution in Karnataka, he said.
Furthermore, the development of skills needs to focus on alignment of skills courses with standards, faculty training, and infrastructure resources, said Narayan, these three aspects are considered in this initiative.
“Courses available about ‘future prime skills’ are in accordance with national work standards of the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF).

Under Mou, three digital smooth courses, artificial intelligence, and cyber security will be part of the curriculum, he said, adding that they will be available for free to non-computer science students and state faculty members, and will have the theory and practical components that guarantee skills development among students.
