Karnataka: Students wearing a headscarf are permitted at Udupi College, but will sit in a separate classroom

Udupi: After the days of protests, students wearing a headscarf have been allowed to enter the PU College government campus on Monday in the Kundapura area in Udupi Regency in Karnataka.
However, the student will sit in a separate classroom, notify the school administration.

“The situation is controlled in Kundapura, and students are allowed to come to college and campus even if they wear a headscarf.
There are no legal situations and order in Kundapur,” said St Siddalingappa, supervisor of the police, Udupi.

The Pre-University Education Council on Saturday has released a circular stating that students can only wear uniforms approved by school administration and no other religious practices that will be permitted in universities.
