Bengaluru: Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) sells the maximum number of composite LPG cylinders in Karnataka so far.
5,221 sold since August 2021, 4,300 defeats have been from Bengaluru.
IOC officials say this fiber-made cylinder transparent and consumers can see how much gas is left.
“Carat-free and slim composite cylinders are suitable for modern kitchens.
They are safer and 50% lighter than steel gas cylinders,” said an IOC spokesman.
5,221 composite LPG cylinders sold in the state, 5,184 are 10kg and 37 are 5kg.
Throughout the country, the IOC sells 20,831 composite cylinders, including 20.166 with a weight of 10kg.
Karnataka was attended by West Bengal (3,947), Uttar Pradesh (2,357), Telangana and Andhra Pradesh (1,784), Delhi and Haryana (1,646), Bihar (1,367), and Tamil Nadu (1,061).
IOC launched a composite cylinder in New Delhi in March last year and in Bengaluru in August.
“At present, composite cylinders are available in 5kg and 10kg sizes Guarantee, “said an IOC official.
He said the composite cylinder would be sent home like a gas cylinder that exists through an Indane distributor.
At present, refill costs for composite cylinders are Rs 635.5 (for 10kg) and RS 332.5 (5kg).
Ramesh Kumar, Secretary of All-India Distributor of LPG Federation (Karnataka Chapter), said: “The majority of Cylinder Cylinder Composite is a technician in Bengaluru who is ready to pay additional deposits.
The cost of refilling for domestic cylinders 14.2kg normally is Rs 902.5 and the number of deposits For LPG connections are Rs 1,450 (for one cylinder).
The existing customers can choose composite LPG cylinders by paying the number of differences.

Other oil companies such as BPC and HPC have not launched a composite cylinder.
Many customers are happy with composite cylinders.
“The idea is good but we are worried that it will be canceled in the middle even after people pay more for deposits.
Authorities must facilitate online options to switch to LPG Cylinder Composite without visiting the LPG distributor.
At present, this facility is only available for new customers,” said Megha S, a Hebbal resident.
“The biggest advantage of the cylinder is we know how much gas is left, so we can order the appropriate refills.”
